William J. Williams II, 72, of Excelsior Springs passed away at 9 a.m. July 4, 2024, at Liberty Hospital. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 13th from 1-2 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m., at Bross & Spidle Chapels in Excelsior Springs. Mr. Williams was born Nov. 28, 1951, in Excelsior Springs. He retired from Bayer after 33 years. His favorite hobbies included coaching his kids, watching his grandkids play all their sports, playing golf, hunting and fishing. He also was a Ducks Unlimited chairperson for several years. In his later years, he enjoyed going to Old New Garden Church with Betty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. Williams and Bettie Williams; stepmother, Shari Williams; and brother, Bruce Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Williams; son, Christopher (Chris Lambrecht) Williams; and daughter, Shawna (Matt) McGaugh. Other survivors include his grandkids, Clinton (Courtney) McGaugh, Melissa McGaugh, Cody Williams, Colton (Lyndsi) Williams, Jocilyn Williams and Clay (Ashley) Lambrecht; and great-grandkids, Kyle, Gracie, Mila, Carter, Hunter, Logan, Asher and Madux.
