Bruce Michael Huffman was born October 19, 1972. He went to meet the Lord on December 1, 2021. 

Bruce grew up in Excelsior Springs, Mo. area and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. Bruce mainly worked in residential homes for the mentally and physically challenged young adults. A job he much enjoyed, and the young adults really liked him. 

He attended St Ann Catholic Church when he was growing up.  

He was preceded in death by the love of his life Billie Adams Huffman.

Elizabeth S. McCauley, 78, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Elizabeth was born on September 15, 1943, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Schwarzel) McCauley.  

Elizabeth is preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister Margaret Peggy McCauley. She is survived by her life partner Rebecca McGuirt and brother Robert (Roberta) McCauley.

Ricky Ray Hadlock, 58, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on November  21,2021. 
Rick graduated in 1983 from Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 12.5 years. He left there to do HVAC. Rick loved to help people and could never tell people no. He loved to fix things  that others had given up on. He never met a stranger! He would give you the  shirt off his back. 

Betty (DeWeese) Swick

Betty (DeWeese) Swick , 92, a longtime Excelsior Springs resident, passed away November 26, 2021 at Kansas City Hospice House. 

Betty was born April 21, 1929 in Delta, Iowa, was one of 3 children of Sam and Fern (Feaster) DeWeese. 

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Swick, her brother Warren DeWeese, sister Wilda Hadley and grandson Adam Popejoy. 

Betty retired from the Excelsior Springs School District as a cook in the school cafeteria.

LaDonna Way, 74, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Nov. 12, 2021, at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab.  

Visitation was held from 5-6:30 p.m., on Nov. 17, 2021, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs.

James C. Johnson, 82, of Lawson, MO passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at North Care Hospice House. 

He was born on Sept. 20, 1939, in Kansas City, MO to Filo and Mary Johnson.  He worked for TWA for 40 plus years.   

He is survived by his son, Jamie (Terry) Johnson; daughter, Jewel (John) Bailey; granddaughters, April Richardson and Elizabeth Davis all of Lawson; and grandson, J.C. Bailey of Pennsylvania.

was born November 7, 1986 and passed on November 13, 2021 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Merle Joy Teer

Body

Merle Joy Teer, 93, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Veteran’s Home in Cameron, Missouri.  Merle was born in Hugo, Missouri on February 20, 1928 to Marion and Flora Childers Teer. 

He accepted the Lord at the age of six and was a member of the Dove Baptist Church.  He later attended the Woodland Baptist Church.
