Davis takes wrestling, academic careers to UCM

WARRENSBURG – Another Excelsior Springs High School student-athlete is moving to the next level. Landen Davis has opted to pursue his wrestling and academics at the University of Central Missouri, where he plans to major in construction management. Davis joins the Mules after being a four-time state medalist at Excelsior Springs. He was a state finalist twice. “I am going to miss all of the people I worked with in high school and the different people I have been able to help throughout the years,” Davis said. Competing at the collegiate level will bring challenges like never before, Davis said. “I will go into every match knowing that every wrestler there has put everything they have into every, single match,” he said. “They all have spent years of (putting) blood, sweat and tears in and nothing will come easy at this level.” Davis’ journey to that level started at age 6 with the Excelsior Springs Youth Wrestli...
