Tigers ready to growl as fall sports practices begin
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – School districts are getting ready to start the fall semester, which means athletics are ramping up for action, too.
The Excelsior Springs School District is no different, as the school’s sports programs began practices Monday. The Missouri State High School Activities Association has given the go-ahead for all fall sports to go on as planned.
Here are brief looks at the fall sports programs underway:
FOOTBALL
Coach Mark Faubion will be back on the sidelines to lead the Tigers, who look to continue pounding the football with their veer offense.
Excelsior Springs is coming off a 7-4 campaign that included a 41-38 doubleovertime loss to Lincoln Prep. Several key pieces will need to be replaced from last season, including quarterback and 2019 KMZU Offensive Player of the Year Brandon Gluhm, who graduated.
