Tigers record 44 personal bests at Chillicothe Invitational
CHILLICOTHE – The Tigers had “a great night” April 1, when they visited Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium for the Chillicothe Invitational, coach Jonah Albertson said.
“By the end of the meet, we had an impressive total of 44 p.r.’s (personal records)!” Albertson said.
The Tigers opened with their two girls 3,200-meter relay teams taking second and third with their times of 11 minutes, 28.91 seconds and 12:39.58, respectively. The boys 3,200 relay team finished second in 9:32.43.
The top Excelsior Springs finisher in the girls 100 high hurdles was senior Zacalen Lohman, who placed 10th in 21.75. Sophomore Gavin Wilmes won the boys 110 high hurdles in 17.73, with sophomore Andrew DeOrnellis finishing third in 19.67 and sophomore Braxton Moffett finishing fourth in 21.7.
