EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers enter the boys golf season with limited varsity experience but have a young core of golfers eager to learn the game. As the only returning player with varsity experience, junior Ethan Edwards will lead Excelsior Springs’ 13 golfers on the links. “I expect Ethan Edwards to have a great year and be one of the top players in the MRVC for the next two years,” coach David Stalder, who is in his fourth season of guiding the program, said. “Overall, we are a young team this year and have a lot to learn but will gain a lot of experience throughout the season.” The remainder of the team consists of juniors Daine Barney, Collin Borchert and Tristen Pekarek; sophomores Ryan Gluhm and JB Prestia; and freshmen Skyler Arner, Elijah Ishmael, Cade Leonhard, Gage Simmons, Jacob Schmidt, Jason Besherse and Cole Dicket.
