Body Excelsior Springs juniors Kinley Rogers and Josie Casler fended off all challengers in a combined three events at last week’s Kearney Classic Invitational. Rogers won two events in the varsity girls portion of the April 11 track and field meet – the discus and shot put.

Body Excelsior Springs nearly swept last week’s Cameron Invitational. Negotiating the rolling hills of Veterans Memorial Golf Course, the Tigers took the team title at the April 9 varsity boys tournament, shooting a 332.

Body Excelsior Springs has its first dual win this season in varsity boys tennis. The Tigers routed Carrollton Monday on the road, putting them at 1-2 overall entering Tuesday’s dual with Raytown South.

Body Klayton Glaspy was wowed when he visited Murray State College. So much so, in fact, that the Excelsior Springs senior recently signed a letter of intent to attend and play junior college baseball for the Tishomingo, Okla.-based school.

Body Seniors Landon Biermann and Tayvion Kennedy were a top-five combo when they paired up for Excelsior Springs at the Platte County Pirate Scramble.

Body Landon Biermann was in position to be the individual winner at Excelsior Springs’ season-opening varsity boys golf competition. For much of the front nine holes of the Oak Grove Invitational, the senior led the pack.

Body In 2024, Excelsior Springs finished at .500 in varsity girls soccer. Coincidentally, the Tigers finished their first week of 2025 at .500.

Body Excelsior Springs was “cruising along O.K.” after two weeks of varsity baseball, according to coach Aaron Holst.
