Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – After jumping out to a commanding lead, the Tigers had to hold on to win their first competition of 2022. The Tigers opened their 40-39 Jan.

Body KEARNEY – The Tigers had three individual titles to show for their Jan. 7 trip to Kearney, where they competed in a varsity girls wrestling tournament.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers’ losing streak in varsity boys basketball that started in December 2021 has carried over into 2022. Excelsior Springs opened the new year Jan.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers are off to a winning start in 2022 in varsity girls basketball. After dropping its last two games of 2021, Excelsior Springs won two of its first three to start the new year.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Four individuals and four teams will enter the ESHS Athletic Hall of Fame this year. The inductees were announced over the holiday break.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Multiple Tigers received postseason football awards. Juniors Ryan Gluhm and Tyson Solberg led the way as third-team all-state picks in Class 4, as named in December by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.

Body GLADSTONE – One of Excelsior Springs’ club bowling teams was nearly perfect when the Tigers opened their season in a tournament Dec. 19 at Gladstone Bowl.

Body KANSAS CITY – Sparked by two individual titles, the Tigers rang out 2021 with a runner-up finish in the team standings of the Center Girls Western Missouri Tournament Dec. 22 at Center High School.

Body CLINTON – The opening round of the girls portion of the Missouri River Valley Conference Tournament was a tale of two halves for the Tigers. The Tigers scored the first bucket in their 47-25 Dec.

Body KANSAS CITY – Win No. 2 of the season eluded the Excelsior Springs varsity boys when they played in the Missouri River Valley Conference Tournament.
