Noah Marker represents Tiger pride

Noah Marker, once a young student in Excelsior Springs, grew to be a driven, well-rounded young man, achieving greatness and showing everyone what it means to have tiger pride. The son of Christy and Marty Marker, Noah passed away unexpectedly on July 17 at the age of 23, but his memory will remain within the community.

Clay and Ray Veterans Association serves community

The Excelsior Springs Clay and Ray Veterans Association is home to five distinct groups – The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the VFW Auxiliary, all serving veterans, their families, the community and students in Excelsior Springs.

Haslett bond may increase

Currently facing nine felony charges, Timothy M. Haslett Jr. may have his bond increased after the body found in Saline County was identified as being that of a potential witness in the case against him, according to the Clay County Prosecutors Office (CCPO).
