Two SEC schools will soon slug it out for the national title in NCAA Division I baseball.

The University of Tennessee and Texas A & M University are slated to begin play in the best-of-three Men’s College World Series final Saturday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb. Game 2 is slated for Sunday. Game 3, if needed, is scheduled for June 24.

ES armed burglary suspect pleads not guilty

A Kansas City man facing three felony charges has entered a plea of not guilty in Clay County Court. Javon T. Baker is facing charges including first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony.

Council thanks Mehaffy for ‘valuable contributions’

Missouri requires an annual report for planning and zoning to be submitted; however, Mehaffy sought to go above and beyond, providing the council with an intricate and comprehensive report on her department’s achievements and ongoing endeavors.
