They dive into the festive atmosphere, decorating their homes, sharing meals with loved ones and exchanging gifts. Kinder sees ‘lot of growth’ in ’Cats

Orrick’s varsity girls basketball team “showed a lot of growth and got better” during last week’s I-70 Conference Tournament, according to coach Jonathan Kinder. The Bearcats turned that growth into a seventh-place finish.

City enters into agreement with firefighters

City leaders approved a new collective bargaining agreement for city firefighters, as well as a 60% hike in the water utility revenue surcharge. The new agreement, which aims to enhance working conditions, benefits and compensation for firefighters, was approved between the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 42 and the City of Excelsior Springs.
