The YMCA drew more than 160 players and volunteers to the greens this year, turning a summer golf tournament into a major fundraiser for the Challenger program. With games on every hole, a live auction and a fireworks show capping off the evening, the annual event raised more than $23,000 to help families and athletes with disabilities.

Everett Duncan McDaniel of Excelsior Springs passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025.
