EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers possess a mix of maturity and inexperience as they prepare to take the field this varsity boys soccer season. Senior defender Matthew Smith is part of the experienced group, as he returns from a first-team all-district, second-team all-conference season in 2019.

One luxury is six returning starters from a team that went 15-7 overall and 6-4 in the Missouri River Valley Conference West Division – good enough for second place.

CRYSTAL LAKES – After allegedly stealing a vehicle and playing “demolition derby” with two Excelsior Springs Police Department vehicles, being knocked off the highway and overturning, and then trying to escape on foot, twice, Bobbie Marie Bauman, 37, Excelsior Springs, is in the Ray County Jail.
