David Martin “Marty” Estenbaum, 58, of Richmond died Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home. Martin was born on Sept. 3, 1964, in Richmond, the son of David H. and Joan (Haynes) Estenbaum. Survivors include: his son, Brennen Estenbaum; daughter, Brooke (Michael) Harrison; grandchildren, Michael Harrison and Henry Harrison; sisters, Vicki (Ken) Holland and Debbie (Emmet) Leabo; nephews and nieces, Matthew Holland, Micheal Holland, Sara Holland and Heather Hunt; and great-nephews and nieces, Christian Holland, Aiden Holland, Elizabeth Holland, Amelia Holland, Eli Holland and Florence Holland.

Classroom funding initiative open to area teachers

Western Governors University (WGU) Missouri has announced the return of its “Fund My Classroom” initiative, issuing a call for K-12 teachers across the state to nominate their proposed classroom projects for the opportunity to receive full or partial funding.

ESYWC advances 16 to Region A Tournament

On Saturday, 16 Excelsior Springs youngsters will pursue their dreams of being state-qualifying wrestlers. Representing the Excelsior Springs Youth Wrestling Club (ESYWC), the grapplers will compete that day in the Missouri USA Wrestling Region A Tournament at Staley High School in Kansas City.
