A change in approach was key to Excelsior Springs’ 14-7 Sept. 6 road win over Winnetonka in varsity 11-man football, according to Jake Danneman, the program’s new coach.
For the first time since 2015, Excelsior Springs has a winning record through four duals in varsity girls tennis. As of this writing, the Tigers were 3-1 with two duals pending this week – Wednesday at Belton and Thursday against visiting Lexington.
Excelsior Springs High School graduate got to suit for an NFL game again. As was reported recently on Raiders Wire, a USA Today webpage that reports on news about the Las Vegas Raiders, Webb was moved from the Raiders’ practice squad to their active roster for their season opener Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
Excelsior Springs continues to pile up the runs – and the victories – in varsity softball. Through Tuesday, the Tigers were 7-0 and had outscored their opponents 82-14.
Upperclassmen Madeline Andreasen and Gabby Scrivener took turns in leading Excelsior Springs in the Tigers’ two varsity girls golf competitions last week. Andreasen, a senior, shot a 55 for her nine-hole round to lead the team at a Sept.
