Schmidt ties for 17th

Jacob Schmidt nearly brought home a medal from the Class 4 state boys golf tournament. Schmidt, who graduated May 10 from Excelsior Springs High School, finished in a three-way tie for 17th out of a field of 90-plus golfers at the May 13-14 tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau.

The Special Olympics Track and Field event was a remarkable display of community unity and commitment to inclusivity, brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the Excelsior Springs Community Center (ESCC) and Excelsior Springs High School’s (ESHS), Student Council (STUCO).

The Excelsior Springs Police Department reported the following arrests handled recently by the department. Wednesday, May 8 At 1:08 a.m., Andrea Frantin, 48, was arrested for outside warrant service.

ES sends five to state track meet

Excelsior Springs is sending five members of its varsity track and field program to Class 4 state competition this weekend. Joseph James, Kolin Kincaid, Kolt Willis, Katie Houck and Kinley Rogers will represent the Tigers at the Friday-Saturday meet at Jefferson City.
