Eagle versus turkey?

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The appearance of an American bald eagle and a turkey in the same Ray County field near the intersection of Route C and Missouri Highway 10 might remind some people of a popular American myth.
ON MISSOURI HIGHWAY 10 near Route C, between Richmond and Excelsior Springs, a bald eagle rests on a round hay bale. In the distance directly behind the eagle stands a wild turkey. Two county officeholders resign seats

Body CLAY COUNTY – Two Clay County officeholders have resigned their offices. The collector and public administrator will be gone by Sept. 1. Public Administrator Sarah Mills resigned effective at the end of August.
McEvoy and Mills will vacate their posts by Sept. 1

Ferril-Means family reunion hits centennial

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Ferril-Means family of Clay County celebrated its 100th anniversary June 12 at the Clay & Ray Veterans Hall Association, 208 Veterans Memorial Drive, Excelsior Springs.
THE FERRIL-MEANS family has reunited for a century.
