Body RICHMOND – Voters slammed the door shut on a plan to replace the Ray County Jail, with a whopping 82.41% saying no Tuesday. Sheriff Scott Childers thanked voters and warned that jail problems remain unresolved.

Body RICHMOND – “It’s a money pit.” Western Commissioner Gary Wilhite described the Ray County Jail by referencing a 1986 comedy film about a couple pouring money into a “fixerupper” that never seems to get fixed.
