Upgrades at Early Childhood Center

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Board of Education approved two measures to spruce up the Excelsior Springs Early Childhood Center, or ECC. During the April 12 meeting, the board approved a request submitted by Superintendent Dan Hoehn to buy supplies, priced at $42,147.

City awards overlay contract

On April 5, the City Council approved a resolution to hire Kansas City-based Superior Bowen Asphalt Co. LLC to do overlay work. Superior Bowen has worked on projects such as the Kansas Speedway racetrack in Wyandotte County, Kansas, and on Kansas City’s downtown loop.

Board receives summer school info

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Superintendent Dan Hoehn recommended the Excelsior Springs School District reevaluate the size of summer school programs in 2022. Hoehn, who will retire in June, made his recommendation during the Board of Education’s April 12 meeting following a report by Anneliese Tadlock.
