Wyman enters Phase I asbestos, lead paint survey

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A Phase I screening of the Wyman School for lead paint and asbestos is underway, Economic Development Director Melinda Mehaffy told city leaders during a June 18 work session. “You do those when you anticipate you might have a developer,” Mehaffy said.

Most area school buses pass inspection by state

RICHMOND – Most area school districts, a notable exception being Hardin-Central, received perfect scores during the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Annual School Bus Safety inspection. Out of five buses serving the Hardin-Central School District, two failed, resulting in a 60% approval rating and both buses being taken out of service.
