Billy Joe McKown, 75, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at home.  At Billy’s request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. 
 
Billy Joe McKown was born 8/7/1946 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs and loved hunting, fishing and fixing things for his family and friends.  He worked for Ford Motor Company and was a Teamsters Union over the road truck driver as an owner operator for Dallas Mavis Trucking. 
 
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Jimmy McKown, Gary McKown, Mary McKown, and Shirley Davis. 
 
He is survived by his children, Scott McKown (Angie), Amy Kane, Cody McKown, and Jordan McKown; his grandchildren, Tyler McKown, and Cameron Kane; his siblings; Caroline McGonigle and Terry McKown (Joyce); and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
