No. 18 Missouri defeated Buffalo, 28-11, on Sunday to open its Mid-American Conference competition. The Tigers have now won 15 consecutive MAC duals. Against Buffalo, Missouri won seven out of the ten bouts with two technical falls and a pin.
Four out of the five ranked wrestlers for the Tigers won their bouts. Missouri's No. 24 Alan Hurt lost to Buffalo's No. 12 Derek Spann by a technical fall.
Something's clicked for Missouri men's basketball over its last couple of games, especially after a dominating 64-48 win against Southern Illinois on Sunday.
It was clear things needed changing after the Tigers' humiliating 68-60 loss to Charleston Southern on Dec. 3 in Columbia, one of the worst losses in Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin's tenure.
So when the Tigers traveled to Philadelphia four days later and beat a strong Temple team 64-54, it reassured Missouri's players that things were going to be OK.
