Body Excelsior Springs made a clean sweep of the Highway 92 Meet. The Tigers won the boys portion of the track and field competition, held April 13 at Tiger Stadium, with 266.5 points – 124.5 points ahead of runner-up Lathrop.

Body Excelsior Springs had little time to relax between competitions last week in varsity boys tennis. The Tigers crammed two duals and their own tournament into three days, splitting the duals, and claiming a firstplace medal and two third-place medals at the tournament.

Body On March 28, Excelsior Springs put the finishing touch on its high school girls wrestling season. That night, the Tigers held their endof- season banquet in the high school commons area.

Body Excelsior Springs has been almost unbeatable lately in varsity girls soccer.

Body Mason Danner “deserved a better fate” when Excelsior Springs faced Oak Park April 15 as part of a rain-shortened triangular at Tiger Stadium, according to Tigers coach Aaron Holst. Danner was the starting pitcher in Excelsior Springs’ 15-3 loss to the Northmen.

Body The Tigers racked up the top-eight finishes when they competed April 6 at the Kearney Classic Invitational. The Excelsior Springs boys finished with 11 top-eight finishes in tallying 54.5 points – sixth among 10 schools.

Body On April 2, Excelsior Springs boys wrestling coach Cody Beck recognized the hard work his Tigers had put in this season. That afternoon at the high school, the team held its end-of-season banquet.

Body The Excelsior Springs varsity boys golf team nearly brought home a second-place finish from last week’s Cameron Tournament. Led by an 82 from junior Jacob Schmidt, the Tigers shot a combined 469 at the April 5 competition, held at the Cameron Veterans Memorial Golf Course.

Body Last week, the Tigers scored more goals in two games of varsity girls soccer than they had in their first four games combined. They had only one victory, however, to show for all that scoring.
