SBA warns email phishing scams target businesses

RICHMOND – The Small Business Administration is sending a cyber-warning alert to loan applicants seeking federal aid in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The email phishing campaigns involve malicious actors who impersonate the SBA and the Office of Disaster Assistance to collect personally identifiable information for fraudulent purposes.

ESHS begins live streaming athletic events in September

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – If you cannot be at Tiger Stadium, the Excelsior Springs High School gymnasium, or the softball and baseball fields this year, you can still watch the Tigers play. In cooperation with the National Federation of High School Sports, Activities Director Joe Greim has linked those facilities to have capabilities to live stream all events that take place.

KANSAS CITY – At just over the onethird mark of the coronavirus-shortened Major League Baseball season, the Kansas City Royals’ fortunes are like those of their past few seasons. At press time, the Royals were 10-15 and in last place in the American League Central Division following an interleague doubleheader with Cincinnati Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium.
