Current HS Tigers help future HS Tigers hone gridiron skills

Last week, nearly 80 Excelsior Springs youngsters learned some of the skills they’ll need to be football players. On July 12 and 13, football coaches and players with the Excelsior Springs High School program worked with aspiring players in grades K-6 at Vic Bonuchi Field at Tiger Stadium.

Eden Village to host panel discussion

A discussion will be held in Excelsior Springs to discuss the city’s need for Eden Village, a non-profit organization aiming to end homelessness. The discussion will take place Thursday, July 27, at the Mid-Continent Public Library in Excelsior Springs.

Argos receives safety vest

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has announced that K9 Argos has finally received a bullet and stab-proof protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from Vested Interests in K9’s Inc. K9 Argos joined the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in September 2022 and is currently partnered with Deputy Zack Petty.

to PRO High heat, drop kicks, random observations and points that amuse are all part of the wide, wide world of sports at the community and national levels. It’s unfortunate that Excelsior Springs and Richmond don’t play each other in varsity 11-man football anymore.
