Body George Thomas Williams, 96, of Excelsior Springs died June 13, 2021, after a long and very interesting life. He was born on Nov. 24, 1924, to George and Clara Williams in Waco, TX and was a Navy veteran of World War II, enlisting when he was 17.

JUNETEENTH RECOGNITION

Body EXCLESIOR SPRINGS – Mayor Sharon Powell issued a proclamation in recognition of Juneteenth, a celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation issued during the Civil War by President Abraham Lincoln to free the slaves.
