EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – As the regular season winds down, the Tigers continue to win in varsity boys soccer. Over their last five games, the Tigers are 3-2, including a 4-1 loss Tuesday at Clinton.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – For the second straight season, Platte County dashed Excelsior Springs’ hopes of winning a Class 4 District 8 softball title. In 2020, the Pirates downed the Tigers 8-0 in the tournament semifinals.
WARRENSBURG – The Excelsior Springs cross country teams went on an unseasonably warm 3.1-mile run Oct. 14, when they competed in the Warrensburg Invitational.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Running for the Tigers in cross country and track gives senior Lacey Miller the sense of being part of a family of athletes. “I love cross country and track equally because it has been a blessing to be a part of this group since the seventh grade,” Miller said.
ST. JOSEPH – Excelsior Springs High School graduate Sam Webb is getting the senior season at Missouri Western State University he was denied in 2020 because of a COVID-shortened schedule.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The girls on the Amigas FC soccer team played for more than a trophy when they competed Oct. 1-3 in the 12-and-under girls division at the Midwest All Girls Tournament in Johnson County, Kansas.
