KANSAS CITY – The end of Excelsior Springs’ varsity volleyball season in October did not end the careers of seniors Kyli Crowley and Rylie Stottlemyre. Crowley and Stottlemyre were selected by the Greater Kansas City Volleyball Coaches Association to play for Team Missouri in the annual MO/KAN Small-Class All-Star match.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Putting together four good quarters was an issue for the Tigers the first four games of the varsity girls basketball season. The Tigers dropped three of their first four, falling to Lafayette County of Higginsville, Richmond and Oak Grove, and defeating Lexington.

HIGGINSVILLE – The Tigers’ first win of this varsity boys basketball season came sooner than it did last season. And the 2019-2020 season.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers will feature a combination of youth and experience on the mat this varsity girls wrestling season. Seniors Jacey Brewer and Paige Barber are among the experienced grapplers.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Coach J.D. Biermann has high expectations for his Tigers for the now-underway varsity girls basketball season.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers start their varsity boys basketball season with multiple returning players. Seniors Gannon Willis and Amani Robinson are two players who saw the floor in starting roles for the Tigers last season and look to contribute this year.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers’ wrestling program is under new leadership. Cody Beck takes the helm after running Richmond’s program for the past two seasons.

FENTON – The Tigers’ Nov. 19-20 visit to the World Wide Technology Soccer Park did not end in Excelsior Springs’ first state boys soccer title.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – An area football team can claim to have played in a Super Bowl. This time, however, it is not the Kansas City Chiefs and it is not an NFL Super Bowl.

ROGERSVILLE – The Tigers are going to the state semifinals again in boys soccer. Excelsior Springs advanced to the Class 2 semis with a 3-2 shootout victory Nov.
