ODESSA – On Jan. 14, girls wrestlers from the Missouri River Valley Conference assembled at Odessa High School to determine who the conference champions would be.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers found the bucket early and often, then could not get their shots to fall in last week’s two varsity girls basketball games. The shots fell in a 54-22 Jan.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Members of Excelsior Springs’ varsity boys soccer team reaped postseason honors for the Tigers’ third-place Class 2 state finish. Senior Ethan Edwards received Class 2 first-team, all-state honors and was named Class 2 Co-Defensive Player of the Year by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Excelsior Springs High School Competitive Acting and Speech Team took the Lexington Invitational sweepstakes award. Nine schools competed.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – After jumping out to a commanding lead, the Tigers had to hold on to win their first competition of 2022. The Tigers opened their 40-39 Jan.
KEARNEY – The Tigers had three individual titles to show for their Jan. 7 trip to Kearney, where they competed in a varsity girls wrestling tournament.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers’ losing streak in varsity boys basketball that started in December 2021 has carried over into 2022. Excelsior Springs opened the new year Jan.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers are off to a winning start in 2022 in varsity girls basketball. After dropping its last two games of 2021, Excelsior Springs won two of its first three to start the new year.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Four individuals and four teams will enter the ESHS Athletic Hall of Fame this year. The inductees were announced over the holiday break.
