EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Take away the second quarter and the Tigers win their Feb. 10 Missouri River Valley Conference West Division varsity girls basketball meeting with visiting Harrisonville, instead of losing 41-27.
KANSAS CITY – Two girls will represent Excelsior Springs next weekend in state wrestling competition. Senior Jacey Brewer and junior Vada Burton both placed second at last weekend’s District 4 Tournament at Oak Park High School to punch their respective tickets to the girls state tournament at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
ODESSA – On Jan. 29, as the Tigers competed at the Odessa Invitational, senior Ayden Dolt continued to make his case as the one of the contenders for a Class 2 boys state wrestling title.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The regular season is complete for the Tigers in girls wrestling. The Tigers finished that portion of their schedule last week with a triangular with Pleasant Hill and Oak Grove Jan.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The boys in black and gold are scoring more points lately in varsity basketball. They are not, however, finding their second victory this season.
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – In varsity girls basketball, the Tigers went from a comeback victory to double-digit losses within a few days last week. The comeback victory, a 52-49 thriller, took place Jan.
