Mahomes, Brady collectibles boost charity auction

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Gregg Williams Foundation has about $45,000 more to go toward helping area youth, thanks in part to three current superstar pro football players and one gridiron legend. On July 9 at Excelsior Springs Golf Course, the foundation staged the Gregg Williams Tiger Classic golf tournament, followed by a sports memorabilia auction.

Host, HOF inductees praise coaching legend

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Vic Bonuchi’s legacy loomed over this year’s Excelsior Springs High School Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony. Bonuchi is a retired coach whose achievements included leading the Tigers to two Class 4A state football titles in three seasons and the 1975 Class A state wrestling title.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers’ home baseball field will have a new look for the 2022 season. This month, the Excelsior Springs Board of Education approved the implementation of synthetic turf for the field.

Three Tigers become Ducks for summer baseball

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Three Tigers have teamed up this summer to play for the 16-and-under Old School Ducks baseball club. Mason Danner, Micah Danner and Colson Moore, who completed high school baseball for Excelsior Springs in May, will play for the Ducks through the end of the summer.
