EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Ethan Edwards has some traveling to do next week. On May 17 and 18, the Excelsior Springs junior will play in the Class 3 state tournament at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers had their winningest week of the varsity baseball season last week. Excelsior Springs closed April and started May by going 4-1, with wins over Van Horn, Center, Odessa and Jefferson City.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers are rolling in varsity boys tennis as the postseason approaches. Entering the Missouri River Valley Conference Tournament, slated for Wednesday, the Tigers had won three of four duals.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers tallied 22 top-10 girls and 28 top-10 boys finishes when they hosted the Mineral Water Classic April 23 at Tiger Stadium. For the Excelsior Springs girls, who finished second in the team standings with 99 points, those finishes included four event wins.

Tigers split four ballgames in packed week

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Last week, the Tigers continued their busy varsity baseball schedule, splitting four games. For their first game, the Tigers resumed play in the Northland Tournament, traveling April 22 to Fort Osage and winning 8-7.

Class 4 Tigers face Class 6 competition in Northland tourney

EXCESLIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers faced their share of larger schools when they played last week in the Northland Baseball Tournament. Excelsior Springs, a Class 4 program, took on four Class 6 schools in the varsity tournament, going 1-3, with a matchup with Fort Osage postponed until this week.
