EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers started this varsity girls basketball season on a hot streak, but struggling to regain their rhythm as the season wore on. They won four of the first five, scoring wins over Richmond and Lexington before playing in the Husker Classic at Lafayette County of Higginsville.

INDEPENDENCE – Winter sports have wrapped at Excelsior Springs. The Tigers concluded their winter schedule Thursday, when four wrestlers competed in the Class 2 state boys tournament at Cable Dahmer Arena: Damon Ashworth, Micah Danner, Landen Davis and Ayden Dolt.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Many sports and other activities depend on getting into a rhythm. The Tigers struggled to find their rhythm this season in varsity boys basketball.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Eight Excelsior Springs wrestlers entered the Class 2 Sectional 4 Tournament Feb. 27 at Excelsior Springs High School with aspirations of making it to the Class 2 state tournament.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigerettes, Excelsior Springs High School’s dance team, are state champions. The Tigerettes competed in the Missouri State Dance Team Championship, performing an energetic hip-hop routine.

SMITHVILLE – Another Excelsior Springs varsity boys basketball season is finished. The Tigers’ season ended Feb.

PLATTE CITY – The high school wrestling season is over for Excelsior Springs’ two sectional qualifiers in girls wrestling. Juniors Jacey Brewer and Paige Barber competed in the Sectional 4 Tournament, held Feb.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – If there is a common theme for Excelsior Springs’ basketball teams this season, it would have to be quarantining. Both the girls and boys programs finished up another round of quarantining last week.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers went 10-for-10 in district boys wrestling competition Feb. 13 at Excelsior Springs High School.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A slow first quarter doomed Excelsior Springs Feb. 12, when the Tigers visited Harrisonville for a meeting in varsity girls basketball.
