Dillman’s baseball skills get him all-state nod

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers held their end-of-season banquet for varsity baseball just before one end-ofseason honor was announced: Lucas Dillman’s all-state selection. The sophomore first baseman and pitcher was a first-team, Class 4 all state selection by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Four-time state medalist signs letter of intent to wrestle

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Damon Ashworth might add to his wrestling medals collection over the next few years. Ashworth, who graduated in May from Excelsior Springs High School, recently signed a letter of intent to continue his education and wrestling career at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington.

ES1 rolls to third on the road, second at home

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A May 1 visit to Summit Lanes in Lee’s Summit ended in a third-place finish for ES1, one of Excelsior Springs Club Bowling’s two teams. ES1 opened the tournament with a 210-168 loss to Fort Osage.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers finished their varsity baseball season on a losing note. The season ended Tuesday with a 9-2 defeat Tuesday by Oak Grove at Raytown High School in the Class 4 District 15 Tournament semifinals.
