Council OKs golf course pump panel

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The City Council agreed to a bid by Presley Solutions of Liberal, Kansas, for a new irrigation system pump panel for the golf course. Three companies vied for the project, Head Golf Course Superintendent Frank Conrick told city leaders.

Pit bull ban discussion continues

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The city continues to consider eliminating decadesold legislation banning pit bulls. A public forum, or “listening post,” occurred at 6 p.m.

Students share poetry

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Students from Excelsior Springs Middle School will share poems from 6 to 8 p.m. April 8 at the Bohemian Sage Gallery, and a published poet from Kansas City will attend, based on information from teacher Gina Calvin.

City OKs FD concrete replacement

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – On March 7, the City Council approved Fire Chief Joe Maddick’s request for $95,620 to replace the fire station’s concrete apron. The City Council’s approval while meeting at the Hall of Waters followed the Capital Improvements Authority’s approval Feb.
