Celebrities of Highway 10

Body
Somewhere along Highway 10, a horse named Olivia and a donkey named Newton are living perfectly normal lives, completely unaware that they have become celebrities to one little girl. At least, that is what my daughter says their names are.

Life in the cupholder

Body
Some guarantees in life are unavoidable: taxes will come regardless of preparedness, Missouri weather will unpredictably include all four seasons within a week and if anything goes wrong in my life, my mother will probably blame it on energy drinks.

Excelsior Springs’ silent asbestos burden

Body
Long before the dangers of asbestos became widely acknowledged, this natural mineral had already secured a powerful foothold in the industrial and military expansion of the country. Letter to the Editor

Body
Dear Editor, An all too common scam has arrived at the virtual doorsteps of the members of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior Springs. Instead of providing the pastor’s phone number, the scammers give their phone number so they gain access to the gift cards you have purchased.

Second Corinthians 5:15 does that.

Every family game seems to come with a warning label, but Uno may have one of the most dramatic reputations of all. If you believe what people say online, the game has ended friendships, sparked arguments and nearly destroyed families thanks to one simple card: the dreaded Draw Four.
