Tigers go for gold at Olympic-themed soccer camp

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Coach Zac Ganzer and his Tigers got into the Olympic spirit during last week’s high school boys soccer camp at Tiger Stadium. In a nod to the latest Summer Olympics, slated to conclude Sunday in Tokyo, the Tigers continued a program tradition by staging their own mock-Olympiad.

Mahomes, Brady collectibles boost charity auction

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Gregg Williams Foundation has about $45,000 more to go toward helping area youth, thanks in part to three current superstar pro football players and one gridiron legend. On July 9 at Excelsior Springs Golf Course, the foundation staged the Gregg Williams Tiger Classic golf tournament, followed by a sports memorabilia auction.
THIS HELMET, signed by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II, fetches $2,600 for the Gregg Williams Foundation. Bidding for the item caps the foundation’s auction July 9 at the Excelsior Springs Golf Course. SHAWN RONEY | Staff
