Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers formally ended their varsity girls soccer season last week with their team banquet. The Tigers were 3-15, notching wins over Savannah, Cameron and Benton.

Body ODESSA – Excelsior Springs’ track and field season is over. The season ended May 22, when no Tigers placed among the top four in their events at the Class 4 Sectional 4 meet at Odessa.

Body KANSAS CITY – Excelsior Springs secured nine spots at Class 4 sectional track and field competition Saturday at Odessa. The Tigers took top-four finishes May 15 at the Class 4 District 8 meet, hosted by Winnetonka at Staley High School.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – A May 1 visit to Summit Lanes in Lee’s Summit ended in a third-place finish for ES1, one of Excelsior Springs Club Bowling’s two teams. ES1 opened the tournament with a 210-168 loss to Fort Osage.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers finished their varsity baseball season on a losing note. The season ended Tuesday with a 9-2 defeat Tuesday by Oak Grove at Raytown High School in the Class 4 District 15 Tournament semifinals.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – Ethan Edwards has some traveling to do next week. On May 17 and 18, the Excelsior Springs junior will play in the Class 3 state tournament at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington.

Body ODESSA – Senior Emma Craven was a winner when the Tigers made their May 5 trek to Odessa High School for the Missouri River Valley Conference West Division track and field meet. Twice.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers had another full week of varsity baseball last week. The Tigers packed in four games, going 1-3, with losses to Pleasant Hill, Pembroke Hill and Willard.

Body EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – The Tigers had their winningest week of the varsity baseball season last week. Excelsior Springs closed April and started May by going 4-1, with wins over Van Horn, Center, Odessa and Jefferson City.

Body LAWSON – Both Excelsior Springs varsity track programs brought home top-three finishes April 26 from the Nick Sloop Invitational at Lawson. The boys program won the team title.
