The Excelsior Springs High School class of 2023 is sending another student athlete off to college. Dalton Layton, who graduated in May, has signed a national letter of intent to continue his education and compete in track and field at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report from an unidentified caller claiming he shot multiple people who had broken into his home. With the help of Clay County Dispatch, deputies were able to answer the call, which came in at 7:30 p.m.

Equine therapy utilizes a connection between people and horses to increase physical and emotional healing. The Northland Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC), located in Holt, MO, is a non-profit organization helping children ages 4 and over with special needs.

Christen Everett, Principal of Excelsior Springs High School, is pleased to announce the Principal’s Honor Roll for Semester 2 of the 2022-2023 school year. Students must have an A(3.66) grade point average with no grade below a B-.
