Work begins on Hwy 10 Bridge

Body The Excelsior Springs West Side Committee recently hosted a get-together to bring property and business owners up to date on the Community Improvement District’s (CID) one-cent sales tax that goes into effect Oct. 1.
The district map represents the Community Improvement District (CID) Boundary where the one-cent sales tax will take place.

Board agrees to allocate funding to ESFD

Body The Excelsior Springs Fire Department will now be able to fund emergency preparedness operations thanks to an annual funding allowance from the Excelsior Springs Capital Improvement Board. The board also agreed to replenish the city’s building maintenance fund.

Council appoints new members

Body Many new faces are now a part of various community positions as appointments were made at a recent City Council meeting. John McGovern, former police chief, was appointed to the Excelsior Springs Board of Zoning and Adjustments, replacing Ambrose Buckman.
