Body It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Leroy Sterling, Sr., 69, of Excelsior Springs, MO. James passed away Oct. 9, 2021, in Liberty, MO. He was surrounded by loved ones. James was born on Sept. 1, 1952, in Iowa to William and Marian Sterling.

Body Christina “Chris” Clampitt, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 12, 2021, after a car accident. 

Body Stephen Brandt Owens, Sr., of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was 47 years old. Steve was born in Kansas City, MO on Jan. 8, 1974, to Buddy Owens, Sr. and Mary Brand Owens. He was the youngest of his four siblings.

Body Hazel J. Kelsey-Clark, 94, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Oct. 2, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hazel was born April 1, 1927, in Walnut, KS to parents Stella and Milburn Kelsey. Hazel was one of eight children.

Body God blessed Barryann Marie Martens and called her home to Heaven on October 5, 2021, to be with Jesus and await the resurrection of the dead. A visitation will be held from 8:30-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Mt.

Body Shannon Bosley (Easler), 51, of Holt, MO, passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 2, 2021.  Mrs. Bosley was born Sept. 16, 1970, in Augusta, GA.

Body Joyce Ann McCrery, 87, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on September 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Lawrence Willard Jones and the late Beulah Ester Longenbaugh.

Body Leonard Eugene (Abner) Easley, 85, passed away on September 30, 2021 at his home in Lawson, MO, after a three year battle with cancer. He was born December 5, 1935 to Leonard Morton and Livie Alpha (Waters) Easley in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was the youngest of seven children.

Body Paul Joseph Shaffer was born Nov. 16, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Eugene and Eva Maesch Shaffer. He had two brothers and three sisters. He has one surviving sister, Mary Cheek of Nashville IN.
