Lloyd Jr. “Bud” Ranes passed away Oct. 25, 2021, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center. Bud was born on April 22, 1937, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Lloyd and Helen Ranes. Bud married Bernita Holt Ranes on July 3, 1957.                         

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother, Virginia Mae Montgomery Stallings in the early hours of Oct. 21, 2021. She was born in Greenville, AL on Nov. 4, 1940, and lived her life in Alabama and Missouri. 

Mary Lou McCullough, 88, of Elkhorn, MO, passed away on Oct. 22, 2021, at Liberty Hospital. Mary was born Nov. 22, 1932, in South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn Ross. She married Lawrence Gilbert McCullough of Kansas City on April 14, 1949. They were married for 51 years.

Jon Lindsay Gardner of Excelsior Springs passed away on Oct. 15, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born June 12, 1954, in Woodland, CA and was one of five children of Aaron and Alene (Gittings) Gardner.

Lynn Sherrell, 64, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Oct. 22, 2021, after a long illness.

Delores J. Hughes, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the Valley Manor Center in Excelsior Springs, MO.  She was born on Sept. 5, 1939, in Scott City, KS, the daughter of Lee L. And Gertrude V. Cauthon Brown.

Nellie Louise Whitham, 73, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021. She was born on Monday, Sept. 20, 1948, in Marceline, MO, the daughter of the late David Clancy and Marjorie Bush.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Leroy Sterling, Sr., 69, of Excelsior Springs, MO. James passed away Oct. 9, 2021, in Liberty, MO. He was surrounded by loved ones. James was born on Sept. 1, 1952, in Iowa to William and Marian Sterling.

Christina “Chris” Clampitt, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 12, 2021, after a car accident. 

Stephen Brandt Owens, Sr., of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was 47 years old. Steve was born in Kansas City, MO on Jan. 8, 1974, to Buddy Owens, Sr. and Mary Brand Owens. He was the youngest of his four siblings.
