Body While reaching to the stars from my office chair between meetings and interviews, I have a few minutes to catch my breath. Yet, I will continue to write even if there is nothing to write about and no discussions to tend to for the next few hours.

Body There’s been a lot of hand-wringing in recent years about the death of local newspapers, those bastions of democracy and chroniclers of community.

Body So much has occurred lately, from sick children to working from home and canceling interviews. I dread these weeks as they come screeching to a halt, with so much still needing to be accomplished.

Body Americans have more media options than ever. We are inundated with stories, memes, videos and promotions 24 hours a day. Most of us are on social media, which is built to provide an endless feed of content to keep us glued to our screens.

Body Though memories fade over time, sometimes it still feels like yesterday. The phone call came in, and text messages were shared from phone to phone like wildfire gaining traction in the wind.

Body The Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved the final plat plan for DHTC’s development of the “Flats at Coach Crossing’’ housing addition that will soon be constructed between US 69 highway and Tracy Avenue.

Body In life, we all come across those who put us down for something we do or don’t do that they wish we should have done. It has happened to the best of us, and sometimes things don’t change.

Body This past weekend was filled with conversations surrounding how the world is transforming and how my husband and I want to raise our sons moving forward.
