Orrick church members donate to VCP

Showing gratitude for local veterans, Orrick Christian Church (OCC) representatives recently delivered gifts and cash to Veterans Community Project (VCP) Outreach Center in Kansas City, Mo. The group delivered more than 200 items, with a total value of $500, along with $1,795 in cash and gift card donations as a tribute to veterans.

Methodical McBee wins Best of Show Overall award

Dantin McBee approached perfection on July 15. McBee, a soon-to-be eighth-grader in the Excelsior Springs School District and member of the Millville 4-H Club, scored a 297 out of 300 that morning in 4-H archery competition at the Ray County Fairgrounds in Richmond.
